Eco-Design Triumph, New Weave Unveils Stunning Rug Collection Featuring ECONYL® Yarn.
In a bold commitment to eco-design, the newly launched company, New Weave, is making waves in the world of circular products. Shattering the notion that circular design is a futuristic concept, the company aims to showcase that sustainable carpets can compete with non-circular alternatives on aspects such as durability, performance, and price. Central to their mission is their partnership with Aquafil’s project “Born Regenerated to be Regenerable,” incorporating ECONYL® regenerated nylon into their rug collections while maintaining a focus on end-of-life recyclability.
Brand New Weave’s inaugural rug collection is a testament to their dedication, crafted entirely from 100% ECONYL® nylon. Employing a revolutionary 3D weaving technique, the company has modernized a centuries-old method, eliminating traditional barriers to regeneration, such as material mixing and adhesive use. This innovative approach allows for the direct weaving of a multi-layered textile that houses both the front and the backside a process that conventionally relies on different materials and adhesives. As a result, New Weave’s rugs can be separated at the end of their lifecycle, exemplifying recyclability.
New Weave goes above and beyond by offering a take-back service, ensuring that their products can be efficiently regenerated.
Moreover, embracing the Social Business concept championed by Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus, New Weave stands out in its commitment to a circular future. They reinvest 100% of their profits into their vision, embodying a business model that aligns with a sustainable ethos. This innovative approach positions New Weave as an example to follow in the eco-design landscape, showcasing the seamless integration of aesthetics, functionality, and environmental responsibility.
All carpets made by New Weave are available in 2 shapes: round and rectangular.
